A time of celebration and reflection

Praying this Easter Season will be a time of celebration and reflection for all of you as we enter into Spring. With this year’s “early” Easter March 27, I want to thank all of you that participated in the services, including the preparation (Charles, Altar Guild, readers, Choir, etc.), the Easter Bunny, and candy hiders for our littlest parishioners, and ALL those who made this past Holy Week and Easter special.

And a special Thank You to Denise Sawyer and all of you who volunteered to help at Italian Feast, sponsored or gathered auction items, or donated food! Also thank you to Colleen Rollins who coordinated the Silent Auction. Again this year’s Feast and Auction was an amazing success! The attendees were very vocal about how good the food was again this year! So thanks again to all for supporting this enjoyable fundraiser.

There are several educational opportunities here in April. The Adult Sunday School class will start a study of the Letter to the Romans on April 3 and go through May. Please plan to join us at 9:00-9:45am between the Sunday services.

Also in early April we have the two-part series on the Northumbrian Saints—Part I starts March 29th 6:30-8:30pm and is repeated April 2, 2:30-4pm, and features St. Hilda of Whitby and St. Bede, and Part II is April 5, 6:30-8pm and repeated April 9, 2:30-4pm and features two saints associated with the Holy Island of Lindesfarne: St. Cuthbert and St. Aiden.

Also in early in the month the two-part introduction class “Welcome to the Episcopal Church” will be offered March 30th and April 6th from 6:30-8:30pm.

As previously announced, on April 3 we will be ordering our St Andrew Spirit wear. If you missed the chance to order yours, we do have a few church pens available now in the office.

Looking forward to Spring weather! See you in church!

God bless you.
