A Holy Time of Reflection

I am praying that the rest of Lent and the start of Easter Season will be for you all a Holy time of reflection, and then Easter celebration. Planning for Holy Week is in full swing. Please plan to join us in our weekly special Holy Week services.

On April 1, Saturday, from 2-4:15pm join us for a Lenten Mini-retreat appropriate for youth and adults, “What wondrous Love” exploring Holy Week in art and scripture. Holy Week is kicked off with Palm Sunday on April 9, and there will be a special class by altar guild for those interested the week before to learn to make those special palm crosses that folks love. Class will be held Thursday April 6th at 10am in the Library.

Holy Week services include Stations of the Cross on April 12, Wednesday evening at 6:30pm (followed by the last session of the Lenten Book Club.) There will also be a Stations of the Cross service on Good Friday at 1:00pm. Maundy Thursday service with foot washing and the bringing back of a traditional element of the service (come see) will be Thursday evening April 13. Good Friday services are at noon and 7:00pm. There will be no 5:00pm Saturday service April 15, however Easter Vigil will be celebrated at 7:00pm. Easter Day services at 8:00am and 10:00am with the Candy Egg Hunt to follow after the 10:00am for the children.

And a special thank you to Denise Sawyer and all of you who volunteered to help at Italian Feast or sponsor auction items or donate food! Also thank you to Colleen Rollins who coordinated the Silent Auction. Again this year’s Feast and Auction was an amazing success! We believe we served more people this year than ever. The food and fellowship was great! So thanks again to all for supporting this fun fundraiser.

Looking forward to Spring weather! See you in church!

God bless you.
